July 6, 2010

it thunders down
unexpectedly softly,
what was worn and anxious and waiting,
seized up and full,
tensed

with broken light left wanting,
limbs only rendered in monochrome,
asking and asking,

the frequency increases,
the fear dissolving,
with each cycle some distant fever pushes past
and cracks open new timbres,

but the sounds have nothing to speak,
only to overwhelm,
changes rushing and collapsing one over the other,

until the swollen, pleading
body breaks,
the zenith forcing over,
lets go and obliterates all colors

basking in ultrawhite, and silence
